We’re back! We’ve been on a brief hiatus for the holidays…and another adventure.
We hope everyone had time during the holiday season to rest and enjoy family and friends. And, if you had time to fit an adventure in somewhere, all the better!
A Honeymoon 32 Years in the Making
We spent our time visiting family and then took to the skies for an international adventure. Our trip was the result of years (32 to be exact) of planning and dreaming. You see, we got married in college and our honeymoon trip was a quick weekend away so that we would be back for finals the following Monday. And, we were broke college kids. So, our budget didn’t allow for traveling very far. We decided that we would make up for it some day, and we did.
A New Adventure
Yes, we have traveled over the years, but our recent adventure was different.
We took a humanities class together in college and decided that Italy, Florence to be exact, was our ultimate destination. We share a love of Renaissance art. And, Florence was the birthplace of the Renaissance. It simply had to be done.
We spent almost a week falling more deeply in love with this beautiful city and the surrounding area. The hill towns, the vineyards, and the seaside villages a couple of hours away. This area of Italy has so much to offer.
Yes, the art drew us in, but the people, the countryside, and the general ambience of this area made us fall in love with Florence.
We have posts, videos, and lots of pictures to share from our adventure. Follow along as we show you why we adore this area of Italy and its people. You might even be inspired to visit too!
We will tell you how we made this trip budget friendly, and how you can do the same.
