Things to Know Before Traveling For a Concert

You’ve bought the ticket! You’re going to see your favorite artist. Now, you have to plan your journey. Don’t worry. We have all the things you need to know before traveling for a concert. Let’s get started!

Book your hotel as soon as you purchase your ticket.

When large events come into an area hotel prices rise. You want to book your hotel at the lowest possible rate. Remember to check the hotel booking sites. Do your research and find the best deal close to the venue.

Have a copy of your ticket.

Even if your ticket is digital, take a screenshot in case your phone battery dies or service is bad at the venue.

Stay an extra day after the concert.

Concerts, while tons of fun, can be exhausting. The adrenaline, the late night, it’s a lot. Use the extra day to recoup, especially if you’re driving. You will more than likely be too tired to make the drive home.

Know the rules of the venue.

Venues have strict guidelines as far as what you are and are not allowed to bring in. Some also have strict dress codes. Visit the website or call the location you will be attending to verify all of the information.

Bring a clear bag to hold your belongings.

This is something that all venues require. Make sure to check the size requirements of the venue of your concert.

Charge your phone before the concert.

You’re going to want pictures. You will need directions back to your hotel. And, most of all, you’re going to want to post to social media to let everyone know you’re seeing your favorite artist in concert (not in real time of course.)
