We spent $60 on burgers in Inverness!
In case you are new around here, we are budget conscious. After all, we are teachers. Our name says it all – Broke Teachers Travel. A tight budget is the only way we know how to do things. Splurging on meals is not our thing. So, we had a bit of sticker shock when we received our bill after eating burgers and the total was $60!
Totally Our Fault
Just to be clear, this was totally our own error. We were tired after spending almost twenty one hours traveling and did not calculate the currency difference.
However, this meal came with an incredible view, good music, and amazing food! It was worth every…extra…penny.
Did Someone Say Dinner With A View?
Coyote Burger is situated across from the River Ness, a view you simply can’t go wrong with. The restaurant is upstairs which offers a great vantage point for people watching or just taking in a sunset on the river.
Is This Your Vibe?
The ambience of the restaurant may not be everyone’s vibe, but we loved it! With it’s black walls and modern furniture, the restaurant is marketed as a punk music burger place. We heard everything from MCR to Green Day to Blink 182. While we did not grow up with this music, our kids did and we have come to love it.
Locals Know The Food Scene
Now, for the best part – the food. The burgers were incredible! We actually ended up here by multiple recommendations from locals. As we were browsing through the local shops, we asked people what their favorite restaurant was. (When you do this a few times and multiple people give the same answer, you have a winner.) Multiple people responded with “Coyote”. So, we headed off in search of this locally famous burger joint.
Thank You
The service at this restaurant was spectacular. I eat gluten free and the staff went above and beyond to make sure there was no chance I would get cross contaminated.
To the staff at Coyote Burger, Inverness: Thank you!!!
The Burgers
Once we had placed our order, we took a few minutes to relax and enjoy the view. Then, our burgers arrived. They…were…huge! We definitely should have split one. We ended up with leftovers. Our meal would have been almost half the cost had we only gotten one burger and two orders of fries.
The burgers…just…wow. They were absolutely incredible. Probably one of the top three burgers I’ve ever had.
While it was a challenge to eat such a heavy meal after traveling for so long, we tried our best not to waste anything. So, we took the rest to go. (Snack for the hotel.)
10/10 We Recommend
As we said, we were caught off guard by the price, but again, our fault. However, the ambience, the view, and the food made the few extra dollars totally worth it.
The next time you’re in Inverness be sure to visit Coyote Burgers! (Consider splitting a burger.)
